Listing your Exchange once Registered and validated
Your council exchange will be added instantly
Adding your exchange to the forum is called posting. The forum is similar to a shop window. Instead of placing a card you will post your exchange on the forum in a similar way to writing an email and pressing send. If you have not registered your free account please continue to Register now before trying or if you haven't already, please read how to join in full detail.
Our simple rules and guidelines.
- You can post your ad in the first Forum for new ads.
- We will then authorise your advert and place it in the correct County Forum.
- You may also have an advert in the moves to anywhere forums near the bottom providing that you will consider anywhere.
- You can not post your own ad in any of the County Forums. Trying to post in any County Forums will give you a warning error.
- You can however post replies to any of the Exchange ads in any of the County Forums.
- You can post Non Exchange topics in the Members Lounge for chat, games support and success stories etc.
Log-in to the forum with your account details
You will not be able to post anything until you are successfully logged into the exchange forum. To make following the instructions easier, click the next link to open the exchange forum into a new browser window.
You now have our forum loaded into your web browser and can move between the forum and this web page. Now we will get you logged in. To the top right of the forum page you will see two text boxes, one showing user name and the other showing password. Enter into the user name the name that you registered earlier. The password is not to be confused with the validation code which was in your validation email. The password was chosen by yourself at registration. The validation code was an automatically generated code used solely for the purpose of confirming your email address and validating the account. Enter your account details and hen click the log-in button.

- Go to the very first Forum at the top of the page. It's the Forum titled for New ads to be posted. If you have not logged in properly the forum will be invisible.
- Once you are in the New ads forum, click the button available on the left at the top and bottom of that forum. The button is the same for anywhere in the forum and is labeled Add Exchange and New Topic. Click the button to bring up an email style form to post your exchange.
- First fill out the title that members will see. Try to be helpful with a description that reflects the type of property you offer. Titles like "Read Me" or "You want this house" etc. will be removed by a CCHE guide. Fill out all your details and click post/add exchange if you are happy or preview post to see how it looks first.
You can get tips and advice on wording your advert. Remember we are experienced, so the advice we give is for the benefit of finding your exchange. When writing your advert there are some of you that will recognise some of the buttons available if you use programs like word. Hovering your mouse over any of the small formatting buttons will popup a tab telling you what they do. The experienced members use these to format their adverts colours, fonts and style. There are also buttons for inserting links, images and many more.
Always remember to log out of the forum when you have finished posting or replying
